Software Developer (DevExpress AI Squad)

We are looking for a motivated full-stack software developer to join our team of AI experts. At DevExpress, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge projects, collaborate with like-minded professionals within a supportive work environment. The right candidate will use AI tools/technologies to build automated solutions designed to enhance/streamline internal processes. 

About the Team

Our squad is a self-organizing team of professionals. Squad responsibilities span multiple areas including product development, internal services/systems, and infrastructure. The team relies on agility and strategy to deliver solutions for both internal and external users.  

Methodologies and Tools
  • The squad employs/leverages modern DevOps principles.
  • The squad uses Kanban for daily task management and Shape-up for larger projects.
  • Tools: Git, GitHub, Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement features and tools that leverage AI to automate internal workflows.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with AI models and APIs (e.g., LLMs, image or speech models).
  • Create, test, and optimize prompts to achieve high-quality results from generative AI systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate requirements into viable technical solutions.
  • Work with high-level uncertainty and help define the scope and direction of experimental or exploratory projects.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team planning sessions.
  • Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and usability of internal AI-powered solutions.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of TS, JS, React, Python
  • Expertise in OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and code refactoring
  • Frontend experience (HTML) 
  • Experience writing unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently when necessary
Nice to have
  • Experience with neural network integrations or AI tools 
  • Experience with tasks that involve a degree of uncertainty and evolving scope 
  • Interest in exploring new technologies and applying them to practical business problems

Sr Frontend Developer (DevExtreme)

Our team takes full ownership of DevExtreme product libraries and shapes its future – from business requirement analysis with product managers to development, documentation, and ongoing engineering support. We prioritize code quality, extensive test coverage, and a thoughtful approach to API design throughout the development cycle (to help ensure security, quality, and product reliability). To accomplish these objectives, we employ many programming practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, and code reviews. We offer positive feedback to one another, reinforce success, and strive to help all team members grow and evolve.  

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain UI libraries with advanced architecture/design.
  • Manage/drive product dev cycle, from design to testing.
  • Refactor and optimize existing modules/code.
  • Engage user community to improve product libraries.
  • Communicate with DevExpress support engineers/developers within the scope of responsibility.
  • Implement complex technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical analysis and form architectural solutions.
  • Propose and justify technical initiatives, optimizing technical processes.
  • Estimate and decompose tasks, and validate technical output.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of software development experience

Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and motivated Frontend Developer with .NET expertise to join our team. In this role, you will develop and maintain DevExtreme ASP.NET Core/MVC controls and related websites, playing a key role in enhancing world-class products used by developers worldwide. In addition to UI library development, you will design, develop, and maintain internal tools using JavaScript/TypeScript. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 4+ years of full-stack development experience.

  • Maintain and improve DevExtreme web properties
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal tools using JavaScript/TypeScript

Requirements

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced .NET/WinForms developer to join our team and contribute to the future of our WinForms product line. As a member of the DevExpress .NET/WinForms Team, you will help maintain/enhance/extend the technical superiority of our desktop UI libraries. You’ll help optimize existing implementations, identify defects, extend performance characteristics, and contribute to overall product reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Improve the UI/UX of existing DevExpress components and help design next-gen UI elements.
  • Create components in Figma.
  • Collaborate with development teams and product managers.
  • Maintain/update the DevExpress Icon Library.
  • Assist developers with design implementation and ensure quality control.
  • Create demo resources for DevExpress component libraries.
  • Design assets for marketing purposes.
  • Support internal teams with design-specific tasks.
Requirements
